Two IT operators who kept noticing the same problem at their integrator clients.

Cwell Marketing isn’t a general-purpose agency that also does integrators. It’s a marketing company built specifically around the way custom integration businesses actually sell — because our founders spent years inside that world.

The origin

From racks and switches to pipeline and pixels.

Shon and Lane met and worked together for years in the IT industry, helping companies stand up and modernize their infrastructure. Racks, switches, virtualization, backups, the whole stack. Eventually they sold that business.

When they moved into marketing, they started with what their clients needed most — websites and SEO. Base-level marketing to get businesses on Google and get a site that didn’t embarrass them.

Over time, the scope grew. What started as websites and SEO expanded into marketing automation — making sure no lead slipped through the cracks — and paid acquisition, driving intent traffic to attract the right kind of prospect. The technology background turned out to be an unfair advantage. Integrators are tech-heavy businesses. Marketing them requires understanding the stack, the clients, and the project economics. We already spoke the language.

Today Cwell does three things, built on the same foundation: websites that capture interest and convert, automation so nothing gets lost, and paid traffic tuned to the work integrators actually want to win — not every click that comes along.

Spent years in IT infrastructure — racks, switches, networks — before moving into marketing. Brings the technical rigor of an infrastructure engineer to how funnels, tracking, and automation are built.

Lane McDowell

Co-founder

Business partner from the IT days. Runs strategy, client relationships, and keeps Cwell's work honest — no fluff, no vanity metrics, no promises that don't show up as pipeline.
